Private Session Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations received 48 hours or more prior to scheduled booking may be rescheduled only one time. If you cancel the rescheduled session, it will be counted as a session used.

  • Cancellations under 48 hours of a scheduled booking may not be rescheduled

  • Cancellations on the same day will be counted as a session used and you may be charged an additional travel fee if you cancel when we are already on our way to you.  

  • Private training packages are not eligible for a refund once you begin

  • All adult and behaviour modification packages expire one year from your initial booking. 

  • All puppy training packages expire when your puppy reaches 5.5 months.

  • No shows for booked & confirmed private sessions will be deducted the full amount of time booked out of their package.  

  • Late arrivals will not be given extra time outside of the booked time. Please insure you have enough time to locate areas & parking prior to in person sessions.

Booking Policy

  • All private training booking requests are first come first serve in our main email - info@magnoliadog.ca

  • Your full invoice or a deposit (if discussed) must be paid to secure your booking. If payment is not received within 24 hours of receiving your invoice, your spot will be released to the next person on the wait list.

  • Booking for private walks and Walk & Train services must be made at least 2 weeks in advance to secure a spot. Priority goes to Walk & Train and those requiring long term service.

 

Our COVID-19 Safety Plan


Those who are in the high risk category or if you live with or take care of someone of high
risk should consider virtual online training. It can be very effective and helpful – especially
if you feel like your dog needs help now.

 

Basic Health Guidelines


Please cancel your private session or class spot if:

  • You’ve had symptoms of Covid-19 or any sickness in the last 10 days. Symptoms include fever, chills, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, and new muscle aches or headache.

  • You’ve been directed by Public Health to self-isolate.

  • You have recently traveled outside the province of BC or you have had contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19.

  • If you or anyone in your home is ill, your private training session can be moved to online or we can postpone until there has been a negative Covid-19 test and symptoms have resolved

  • If I am not feeling well or have been in contact with anyone who is sick, I will contact you to reschedule or to do a virtual online session

 

Private Sessions


Here’s what I’ll be doing:

  • The number of in-person appointments will be limited during the day in order to minimize

  • points of contact.

  • In-person appointments will be spaced out to allow extra time for cleaning and sanitizing

  • before going to my next appointment

  • I’ll be sanitizing my equipment, myself and my car between all appointments.

  • If your dog is passed to and from our trainer for demo purposes, the trainer will also provide their own Biothane leash and sanitize between.

  • If you have traveled out of province/country or if you are feeling or have felt sick in the 14 days or have come in contact with someone testing positive prior to your session, please reschedule with us

  • Our 48-hour cancellation policy will be waived if it is due to illness or suspected illness

 

Here’s how you can help:

  • Be prepared to train in your yard or other outdoor space. If necessary, you can be inside and I’ll sit outside…as long as we can hear each other, it’ll work!

  • Face coverings are mandatory for all in person sessions and must be worn over the mouth and nose at all times

  • Use social distancing, a minimum of 6 feet when inside or outside.

  • Please try to limit the number of family members at any one session. If at your home, two can directly participate and others can watch from a larger distance. Two is my limit for behaviour modification or on the road skills – any more than that and social distancing and limiting contact becomes very challenging.

  • Wash your hands frequently!

  • Sanitize your dog’s leash and collar before your session.

  • Have plenty of treats available for your dog in a container that has been sanitized.

  • All payments and paperwork will be handled electronically in order to limit points of contact.

 

Private Walking/Walk & Train Policy

  • If your trainer/walker has signs of illness, they will be required to stay home, self-isolate and get a COVID test. If this causes an unanticipated change to your booking, we will contact you directly and ask for your understanding and cooperation in finding an alternative arrangement.

  • If you have traveled out of province/country or if you are feeling or have felt sick in the 14 days or have come in contact with someone testing positive prior to any scheduled walk, please cancel services

    • Our cancellation policy will be waived if it is due to illness or suspected illness

  • Walkers will wash hands when possible or use a minimum 60% alcohol sanitizer before, during and after each walk.

  • We use our own Biothane leash and disinfect them between walks and wash them at the end of each day

  • Treat pouches, keys and other high contact surfaces are wiped with disinfecting wipes between each client

    • When possible, pouches are switched out and sanitized at the end of each day

  • Low-contact or no-contact handoffs

    • If you are home, we can coordinate via text so you can harness your dog and put them in the closest enclosed area. You can bring your dog out on your own leash and we will switch over to ours. Please wear a mask for this transfer.

    • If you are not home, we ask that all walking gear be placed by the closest door so we can be in and out of your home as quickly and efficiently as possible.

We update this information based on Dr. Bonnie Henry’s guidelines and WorkSafe BC’s protocols for re-opening. If we have learned one thing during this pandemic, it is that things can change quickly!

In the event of a full lockdown all sessions will move online.
